Did you know that only 25% of Hepatitis B cases are diagnosed? The AAPI community is disproportionately affected by Hep B, accounting for more than 60% of Americans living with the infection.  

That’s why I’m cohosting a FREE Hep B screening event with Rep. Steve Malagari, the Hepatitis B Foundation, the Korean American Association of Greater Philadelphia and others on Saturday, September 16 from 10am-1pm at the PEAK Center in Lansdale (606 E Main St). COVID and flu vaccines will also be provided by Skippack Pharmacy! 

Staff from Senator Maria Collett’s office will be hosting a Pop Up Mobile Office at the Montgomeryville Mall (Macy’s Court) on Wednesday, October 25! Stop by to get your state services questions answered and pick up some free resource booklets, maps, coloring books and more.

On October 25th, Senators Muth, Lindsey Williams, and Collett will hold a hearing on addressing the increasing challenges stormwater issues cause our communities. Last year, legislation was adopted as part of the budget and allocated $320 Million in new water, sewer, and stormwater grant funding through American Rescue Plan Act funds. Despite this progress, the overwhelming demand for these funds highlights a stark need for a more robust investment – nearly five times the initial funding – to adequately address Pennsylvania's water, sewer, and stormwater concerns. Investing in water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure is key to addressing the Commonwealth’s significant backlog of water and sewer projects that lack necessary funding.

Join us for our Family Health Fair at the Ambler Area YMCA! We will have games, giveaways, face painting, balloon animals and wellness resources for all ages. Attendees will also have the chance to win a free 3-month YMCA membership for their family!

Donations welcome! During the event, we will be collecting pajamas (new or gently used) and new, unopened socks for neighbors in need. All items will be donated to the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard.

This event is free and open to the public.

The office of Senator Collett and the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency invites parents and students to an overview of the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) process. This free, virtual webinar will guide students and families through a step-by-step process of filing the FAFSA and PA State Grant application beginning with the 2024-25 academic year. The webinar is open to all ages and grades. The presentation is from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM with the additional time for a Q&A session.

Senator Collett is hosting a donation drive collecting nonperishable food items to support 12^th District neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Now through August 29, you can drop off items for the drive at her Fort Washington office Mondays-Thursdays, 8:30AM-5:15PM. All donations will benefit Family Promise of Montgomery County.
