The office of Senator Collett and the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency invites parents and students to an overview of the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) process. This free, virtual webinar will guide students and families through a step-by-step process of filing the FAFSA and PA State Grant application beginning with the 2024-25 academic year. The webinar is open to all ages and grades. The presentation is from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM with the additional time for a Q&A session.

On September 6th, Senator Muth along with Senator Maria Collett Representatives Greg Scott and Brian Munroe will hold a Joint Policy Committee Hearing on legislation to ban the intentional use of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in all industrial applications with an exclusion for essential uses as defined by the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Scientific studies have shown that exposure to certain levels of PFAS may lead to reproductive effects in pregnant women, developmental effects or delays in children, and interference with the body’s natural hormones, among other health risks.

Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg invites all veterans to her annual Montgomery County Veterans Resource Fair on Tuesday, October 8, from 9:30AM to 11:30AM.

The Resource Fair will be held at the Greater Plymouth Community Center, 2910 Jolly Road in Plymouth Meeting. Representatives from numerous County offices and departments will be available to discuss the services available to veterans, including: Veterans Services, Voter Services, Public Health, and Aging Services.
