DESCRIPTION:Fastnachts are diamond-shaped\, donut-like pastries originally made by the Pennsylvania Dutch to use up all of their sugar and fat before the Lenten season began. Tuesday\, February 25 is Fastnacht Day (also Fat Tuesday)\, and bakeries around our district are offering these delicious treats. Make sure to pre-order this week if you plan to purchase a dozen or more! \nI’m looking forward to making some fastnachts myself with the Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford.
