NORTH WALES − January 30, 2019 – Senator Maria Collett (D-12) announced today that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) has approved a $4.6 million low-interest loan to the Franconia Sewer Authority (FSA) to repair their public wells.

The money used for this project will help with much-needed repairs and improvements to the township’s wastewater disposal systems to eliminate contaminating discharges from malfunctioning systems.

“It is great to see Franconia Township taking proactive steps to make these improvements and keep our community safe and thriving,” said Senator Collett. “I am proud to support these efforts.”

PENNVEST assists communities and citizens of Pennsylvania by providing low-interest loans for funding sewer, storm water and drinking water projects throughout the Commonwealth. PENNVEST prioritizes investing in clean drinking water, environment improvements and economic development.
