North Wales, Pa. − July 16, 2020 − Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery/Bucks) has announced $1.4M in PennDOT multimodal grant funding for the design, sighting, and installation of eighty-seven 15-foot tall, modern, high-efficiency streetlights in Horsham Township’s Pennsylvania Business Park.

“This grant will allow Horsham Township to create a safer and more inviting walkable business campus,” said Senator Collett. “As we look beyond the current crisis toward the future, it will be more important than ever to bring new businesses and jobs to our district. This investment will do just that. That is why I fought so hard for this project.”

Act 89 of 2013 created a new organization within PennDOT designed to focus on efficiency, capital investments, safety and mobility in alternative modes of transportation, and established a Multimodal Transportation Fund to support these priorities.

The next round of Multimodal grant applications will open in September 2020. For more information about the program, visit www.penndot.gov and click on Multimodal Program under the “Projects & Programs” button.
