North Wales, PA. जनवरी 6, 2020 — Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery/Bucks) has announced $50,000 in Teacher in the Workplace grants supporting two educational programs serving students in the 12th District. 

“These grants will allow our students to build the skills and connections they need to succeed in today’s changing workforce,” said Senator Collett. “Investments in our teachers and students are investments in the Commonwealth’s economy.”

Grant recipients include:

  • Bucks County Intermediate Unit 22 – $25,000
  • Centennial School District – $25,000

Pennsylvania’s Teacher in the Workplace program connects K-12 classrooms to the workplace by providing partnership opportunities with local business leaders and employers to enhance their students’ educational experience and career readiness.

The Teacher in the Workplace grants are distributed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and funded with federal money made available from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act and the Every Student Succeeds Act.
