North Wales, Pa. – Diciembre 20, 2019 — Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery/Bucks) has announced $150,000 in competitive career and technical education equipment grants awarded to three schools that serve her district.

Grant recipients include:

  • Middle Bucks Institute of Technology – $50,000
  • Eastern Center for Arts & Technology – $50,000
  • North Montco Technical Career Center – $50,000

“By expanding the breadth of our career and technical education opportunities, we are preparing our students for success in a number of in-demand industries,” said Senator Collett. “These funds will be instrumental in providing students with the modern equipment they need to compete and succeed in the real world.”

Recipients serving students in the 12th district will use their funds to purchase mechanical and electric learning systems, welding equipment, and other training technologies. The grants were awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to Career and Technical Centers (CTC) and Area Vocational-Technical Education Schools across the Commonwealth to purchase new equipment to train students in high-demand occupations. The Pennsylvania Department of Education awarded a total of $1.2 million to 32 schools.
