Fort Washington, PA − September 15, 2026 − Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery, Caucus Chair) has announced $6,127,320 in Local Share Account (LSA) grant awards for 20 infrastructure projects serving the 12th Senatorial District in Montgomery County, PA.
“I was excited to secure over $6 million in state funding for projects that reflect our communities’ real needs and priorities: making sure our parks are accessible, our utilities run efficiently and local police have the tools they need to protect our neighbors,” said Collett. “I’m grateful to my partners in the state house, local leaders in the district and Governor Shapiro for supporting these critical investments in a safer, healthier future.”
Grant Awards Secured by Sen. Collett & Rep. Melissa Cerrato – $1,948,603 Total:
- Ambler Borough – $167,188 for the purchase and upfitting of two police vehicles.
- Horsham Township – $65,000 to upgrade their mobile data terminal (MDT) equipment for their police department vehicles.
- Horsham Township – $75,000 to install lights at the pickleball courts located at the Horsham Township Municipal Complex.
- Horsham Water & Sewer Authority – $51,415 for the purchase of a service truck.
- Horsham Water & Sewer Authority – $600,000 for a water main replacement on Summer and Cottage Avenues.
- Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority – $990,000 for the Mitzvah Circle Campus Safety Assessment Implementation Project.

- Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority – $200,000 to install safety and security measures at Fairwold Academy.

This investment reflects our commitment to safeguarding every child in the commonwealth and strengthening the institutions that serve them.”

- Hatfield Township Municipal Authority – $288,039 to replace sluice gates in the water treatment plant in Hatfield Township.
- Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority – $250,000 for renovations to the Peter Becker Community Courtyard.
- Lansdale Borough – $824,174 for improvements to Memorial Park.
- Lansdale Borough – $366,432 for new playground equipment and other improvements at York and Susquehanna Park.
- Souderton Borough – $267,000 for wastewater treatment plant upgrades.

- Hatboro Borough – $229,955 to purchase and install a water slide at Hatboro Memorial Pool.
- Hatboro Borough – $333,932 to purchase a street sweeper to be used on the 22.5 miles of roadway within the borough.
- Hatboro Borough – $379,990 to purchase two modular vehicle barrier systems with trailers.
- Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority – $28,959 for the Settlement Music School Willow Grove Community Space & Learning Expansion.

- Lower Gwynedd Township – $609,690 for the purchase and installation of an inclusive play structure at Oxford Park.
“Oxford Park is an important community resource, and this project will make it an even more welcoming, safe, and accessible space for Lower Gwynedd Township families,” said Hanbidge. “The planned improvements, including an inclusive play structure designed for young children, new safety surfacing, landscaping, fencing, and stormwater management, will enhance both the park’s usability and the experience of the families who enjoy it. Support for construction and engineering costs will help Lower Gwynedd Township bring these meaningful improvements to life and ensure that Oxford Park remains a high-quality recreational space for children and families for years to come.”
Grants Secured by Sen. Collett & Rep. Matt Bradford – $350,000 Total:
- Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority – $350,000 for improvements to the All-Abilities Gym at Variety, the Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley.
“Variety is an incredible organization and the upgrades to their all-abilities gym will provide our neighbors with disabilities a place to play and exercise,” said Bradford. “I’m grateful that the Shapiro Administration is investing in this important project that will improve recreational access for the many people that Variety serves.”
Countywide Grants Secured by Sen. Collett and Local Representatives – $50,546 Total:
- PIDC Financing Corporation – $50,546 to purchase a vehicle for The Career Wardrobe, a non-profit focused on eliminating clothing insecurity by outfitting people for life and work.
