Fort Washington, PA June 9, 2026 – Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery) has announced $823,110 in grant funding administered by Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) to support mental health and safety programs at nonpublic schools in her district.

“Our kids’ safety and wellbeing are at the front of our minds when we send them off to school each day,” Senator Collett said. “These grants will allow local schools to purchase equipment and fund the mental health services they need to ensure a comprehensive, high-quality approach to school safety.”

Grant awardees in the 12th District include:  

  • Dock Mennonite Academy – $75,000
  • Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary School – $62,616
  • Mater Dei Catholic School – $74,931
  • Our Lady of Mercy Regional Catholic School – $32,033
  • Plymouth Meeting Friends School – $47,988
  • Public Health Management Corporation – Fairwold School – $75,000
  • Quaker School at Horsham – $15,000
  • Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School – $11,056
  • Saint Albert the Great – $61,596
  • The Academy of The New Church – Boys School – $74,671
  • The Academy of The New Church – Bryn Athyn Church School – $74,452
  • The Academy of The New Church – Girls School – $68,767
  • The Montessori School – $75,000
  • Valley Christian School Foundation – $75,000

The Targeted School Safety and Security Grant for Nonpublic Schools are available to nonpublic schools to address school violence or enhance school security. 353 projects were approved for a total of $19.4 million.
