Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery, Caucus Chair) has announced $490,994 in grant funding for 32 local fire companies and emergency medical services (EMS) departments awarded by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
“All of us deserve to feel safe in our homes, at work and in our communities,” said Senator Collett. “We owe that sense of safety to the local firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and other first responders who have bravely answered the call to service. I’m proud to support these grants each year to secure the equipment and training our fire companies and EMS providers need to protect themselves and our communities.”
